Installation guide
Step 1: Open the box and check all components within 7 days. This allows you to take full advantage of your warranty. Within that period. Outside of 7 days a unit that is damaged may not be accepted back for a return so make sure this is your first step when the product arrives.
Step 2: Check the listing you used to purchase or contact your advisor for a installation video. Almost all of our products come with installation videos on the product installation tab on the listing for the product. You can use the following extensions to get to your department:

FCA: 16
Ford: 17
Step 3: Follow all install instructions and if your kit comes with a genie, begin your first genie attempt.
For Ford and GM and all other vehicles:
Attempt in accessory mode. This is the mode in between starting the vehicle and off.
For FCA:
Attempt with the vehicle running.
Take note of the lights the genie produces. If the genie produces a green light or 3-4 minutes has past remove the genie and if not FCA start the vehicle. Check that the feature has been programmed.
If the genie went green and the feature is still not programmed:
For FCA: FCA is unique in that it comes with a 24-48 acclimation period. You will want to wait for this after the genie is applied especially if it goes green.
After that for FCA or right away for other vehicles:
- Go ahead and start a CAN BUS reset.
If the genie did not go green:
- Reapply the genie up to 5 times to see if a green light appears. After the 5 attempt even if you did not get a green light attempt a CAN BUS reset (see below).
Can Bus Reset
CAN BUS reset is an important tool when troubleshooting these units because the radio has a network of communication referred to as the CAN network. Interrupting this network and forcing it to reset can help the network learn the new code we are introducing.
To do a CAN Bus reset you need to disconnect the the negative terminals or the negative and positive terminals on your battery.
If you only disconnect the negative: Give it around half an hour to apply this change.
If you disconnect both please make sure the positive and negative do not touch each other. This will not require the half an hour delay if done this way.
Step 4: Check if the Can Bus reset enabled the programming. If not give the genie one more attempt.
** If you reapply the genie in this way. FCA vehicles will need to wait for the 24-48 hour acclimation again.
Step 5: If this is still not working give your advisor a call and we will work to swap out the genie or any other component under warranty.
