These systems are pre-programmed by Infotainment.com to function seamlessly with your specific vehicle configuration. Here are a few key things to be aware of:
Steering Wheel Audio Controls:
Fully supported without additional programming.
SiriusXM Satellite Radio:
Pre-configured for use.
If your vehicle did not come with SiriusXM from the factory, we include an antenna adapter (U-INTC2K).
This plugs into the mustard/curry-colored Fakra connector on the UAX module.
โ ๏ธ However, your roof-mounted antenna must be replaced with our Factory SiriusXM Antenna (sold separately) to receive signal.
Rear Backup Camera / 360 Camera:
Standard rear camera supported.
Also compatible with 360ยฐ camera systems (if equipped).
UConnectยฎ Bluetooth Hands-Free Calling:
Fully functional through the existing factory mic system.
Sirius Guardianยฎ & 4G LTE Hotspot:
These services will not be available after upgrade.
They require factory-embedded telematics hardware and subscriptions that are not included or supported.
Automatic Climate Control Support:
This kit supports trucks with or without factory auto climate controls.
To add automatic climate functionality, consider the Plug & Play Auto Climate Control Kit (sold separately).
Remove tray cover to access two T20 screws.
Pull bezel/radio forward carefully and disconnect all connections (up to 9).
โ ๏ธ Donโt yank the bezel; all connectors have locking tabs.
Disconnect harnesses and take photos for reference.
For 52-pin connector, pull locking lever up before removing.
Remove factory radio (UAV or all-in-one) using four T10 screws.
Disconnect all rear connections; set old module aside.
Install UAX module as per original mounting location.
Use supplied clip nuts and T10 screws (if previous radio was all-in-one).
Mount securely with screws.
Place bezel/screen face-down. Remove lower HVAC controls (T15 screws + clips).
Transfer HVAC controls to new replacement panel.
Use UAX harness and LVDS cable to make connections to the screen.
โ ๏ธ Only two harness ends are needed; others may not be used.
Reconnect 12v power outlet before final placement.
Push bezel/screen into dash until clips snap into place.
Reinstall two T20 screws.
Reinstall the rubber tray mat.
Install Security Gateway Module Bypass (C-MODBYP).
Use Genie Programmer:
Turn vehicle to RUN.
Wait 1 minute, then plug in the Genie.
Flashing blue = programming.
Solid green = success (1โ3 mins).
Unplug Genie, allow a sleep cycle, then test system.
โ Ensure 52-pin connector is fully seated and locked.
โ Check vehicle fuses (infotainment-related; see ownerโs manual).
โ Perform a CAN-bus reset:
Disconnect negative battery terminal(s).
Wait 15โ20 minutes.
Reconnect and restart system.
Some features take time to fully initialize.
โณ Wait up to 48 cumulative hours (requires vehicle to enter deep sleep cycles).
Features that may delay:
Heated/cooled seat icons
Splash screen
SiriusXM activation
Drive Modes / Themes
Backup camera
๐ Verify speaker wiring via the 52-pin connector.
๐ If your vehicle has a factory amp (e.g., Alpine or Harmon Kardon):
Confirm amp is powered and receiving signal.
๐ Perform a CAN-bus reset if no sound.

โณ Wait up to 48 hours or perform CAN-bus reset.
๐ง Ensure camera wiring routes correctly into 52-pin connector (refer to wiring diagram if needed).
โณ Wait 48 hours if wiring is confirmed.
๐งช Use an external camera tester to verify signal integrity.
๐ Inspect CAN signal wires in the 52-pin connector for pin damage or misalignment.
๐ Perform a CAN-bus reset to reinitialize signal mapping.
If your UAX or UAV system has weak Bluetooth reception, or if:
Your phone is struggling to stay connected, and
Call audio is poor or one-sided for the person you're calling...
๐ง You likely need to install a Vehicle phone override cable
Locate the green Fakra connector on the rear of the radio.
This port supports Bluetooth and WiFi antenna input.
Customers using this upgrade may not have a factory Bluetooth antenna โ thatโs okay.
Instead, install the Vehicle phone override cable to improve performance.
Plugs into the green Fakra on the rear of the radio.
Must be neutral keyed (typically gray or teal).
Designed to resolve:
Weak or spotty Bluetooth connectivity
Poor or unclear phone call audio
Trouble pairing with smartphones
Keeping your Uconnect 4 UAX radio up to date is important for performance, stability, and feature reliability. FCA software updates can be specific to your vehicle's make and model, so carefully follow the guidance below.
These updates are official Uconnect releases and have not been altered.
Install at your own risk: If an update fails, a white screen with an ERROR code (e.g., ERROR 20
) may appear.
This usually means an internal component in the radio failed to update.
The radio is designed with a recovery mode. If an update fails, it should automatically roll back to the previous version. This may take 10โ30 minutes.
If the radio fails to enter or complete recovery mode, the unit may need repair or replacement.
โ ๏ธ If the radio stays powered on after a failed update (even with vehicle off), pull the fuse to avoid draining your battery.
