Harness Prep

Unpack the included harnesses:

  • C-INTC5T main harness (includes camera routing)

  • USB media hub adapter

  • Fakra GPS adapter

  • LVDS adapter



Seat the 52-Pin Harness

  • Ensure the large black 52-pin plug is seated firmly and the locking lever is latched.

Plug in Data & Audio

  • Connect Light Blue (data) and Light Green (audio) plugs from C-INTC5T β€” ensure both click securely.

Attach Antennas & USB

  • White Fakra β†’ AM/FM input

  • Blue Fakra β†’ GPS input (via included adapter)

  • Brown USB plug β†’ dashboard USB hub

Camera Connections

  • Backup and cargo cameras are pre-routed inside the C-INTC5T harness β€” no separate Fakra plugs required.

Secure & Tidy

  • Zip-tie Purple, Pink, and Green unused connectors.

  • Bundle cables to avoid strain, pinch points, and heat zones.

1. No Power to the Screen

  • Ensure all connectors are fully seated β€” especially the 52-pin main power plug.

  • Ensure that all factory wiring and supplied harnesses are correctly routed and securely connected. Double-check that every connection is complete and properly seated before powering on the system to prevent issues related to poor or incomplete connections.

  • Check Fuse F44 (1500DT) β€” 20 Amp Yellow β€” located in the Internal Power Distribution Center.


  • Disconnect and securely reconnect the Light Green (audio) and Light Blue (data) connectors from the C-INTC5T harness at the back of the Uconnect module. 

  • If the radio does not power on automatically when the vehicle starts, the system may require re-entry of the anti-theft security code. Follow the on-screen prompts to enter the code and restore normal operation.

  • If the system still doesn’t power on, perform a Can-Bus Reset:

    • Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery (or both batteries if applicable).

    • Wait 15–20 minutes, then reconnect and test again.


2. Blank or Black Screen

  • Make sure the "screen off" button has been pressed to rule out the possibility that the screen was simply turned off.

  • System may require 24–48 hours to fully acclimate after install β€” during this time, some features may not be available.

  • Disconnect and securely reconnect the Light Green (audio) and Light Blue (data) connectors from the C-INTC5T harness at the back of the Uconnect module. 

  • Confirm the LVDS cable is fully seated at both the screen and Uconnect 5 module.

  • If using a right-angle LVDS cable, verify it's installed correctly.

  • Perform a Can-Bus Reset:

    • Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

    • Wait 15–20 minutes, then reconnect and restart the vehicle.


3. No Sound

  • Check Fuse F44 (1500DT) β€” 20 Amp Yellow β€” located in the Internal Power Distribution Center.

  • Ensure the Light Green audio connector from the C-INTC5T harness is fully seated.

  • If equipped with an external amp (e.g., Alpine or Harman Kardon), confirm it's receiving power.

  • Perform a Can-Bus Reset if sound remains non-functional after checking connections.


4. CarPlay / Android Auto Not Working

  • Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your phone.

  • Bluetooth connection loss or weak Bluetooth signal.

    • Hold your phone as close to the screen as possible to see if signal strength increases. A signal extender is available if needed.



  • Restart both your phone and the vehicle.

  • On your Uconnect 5 screen, go to β€œPhone” β†’ pair with your phone via Bluetooth β†’ follow prompts for wireless CarPlay or Android Auto setup.

  • If wireless doesn't connect:

    • Try forgetting the vehicle from your phone’s Bluetooth list and re-pair.

    • Confirm Location Services are enabled (especially for Android Auto).

    • For wired connections: use a certified Lightning or USB-C cable (avoid generic cables).

5. HVAC Controls Missing or Unresponsive

  • Verify the HVAC connectors are fully inserted during bezel installation.

  • Perform a Can-Bus Reset:

    • Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

    • Wait 15–20 minutes, then reconnect.

  • Reseat the bezel harness and test HVAC operation after reboot.

  • Confirm the Genie Programmer completed successfully 


6. Backup or Cargo Camera Not Responding

  • The Tan (Cargo) camera inputs are routed internally through the C-INTC5T harness β€” no direct Fakra connection is needed.

  • Confirm your vehicle-side camera wiring is correctly connected to the C-INTC5T.

  • Use a handheld monitor to test the camera feed directly β€” this helps confirm if the issue is with the camera or Uconnect head unit.

  • Perform a Can-Bus Reset after verifying wiring:

    • Disconnect the negative battery terminal for 15–20 minutes, then reconnect.

  • Confirm 12V power is reaching the backup/cargo camera if no feed is detected.


7. Steering Wheel Controls Not Responding

  • Ensure the Light Blue connector from the C-INTC5T harness is securely plugged in β€” this handles vehicle data (CAN bus).

  • Perform a Can-Bus Reset:

    • Disconnect the negative battery terminal(s).

    • Wait 15–20 minutes, then reconnect.

  • Confirm the Genie Programmer completed successfully 

  • Check for any disconnected or damaged wiring in the steering column or clock spring area if the issue persists.



8. Soft Reset the Uconnect 5 System (Screen Glitch / Lag / Freezing)

  • With the vehicle in the Run position (engine on or ignition active):

    • Press and hold both the Volume and Tune/Browse knobs on the Uconnect 5 screen.

    • Hold for at least 5 seconds until the screen goes black and the Uconnect logo reappears.

  • This will reboot the system without erasing presets, phone pairings, or settings.
